Janet Elaine Macosta

Janet Elaine Macosta, 85, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully in Mount Vernon of South Park Personal Care Home on Friday, October 23, 2026.

She was born on October 18, 1941 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Robert Hammond & Janet Cowell.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edison Skip Macosta, and a granddaughter, Felicity Elaine Macosta.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Monessen, Pa. And also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Surviving are two sons, Scott (Lara) Macosta of Daisytown & Mark (Joanne) Macosta of Marianna, grandchildren, Nickolai (Victoria) Macosta, Malaina Macosta and her fiance Nate Kelly, Carlo Macosta, and her great granddaughter Sabrina Macosta. A graveside service was held on Tuesday October 27, 2026 at 11 a.m, in St Mary’s Cemetery, Rostraver Twp.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Terravecchia Home For Funerals & Cremations, 71 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., 15401.
